SUGAR LAND, TX — In case their Plantation Bend neighbors had any questions about how Doug and Wendy McKain feel about Barack Obama, the bumper sticker on their pickup could be a clue.
But when Chynethia Gragg spotted the sticker — depicting someone urinating on the name “Obama” — Sugar Land police say, she stopped to express her disapproval, and that’s when things got ugly.
Gragg, 35, has been charged with making a terroristic threat after confronting the McKains, telling them the sticker was racist, police said.
Gragg declined to comment, and her attorney, Roy Smith, said he would have to review the police report and talk with his client before commenting.
Doug McKain declined to comment.
According to court documents, police officer H. Norris went to the couple’s house about 3 p.m. Tuesday to investigate a verbal disturbance.
Court documents said Gragg told Norris she saw the sticker on the back of a pickup and stopped in front of the McKain house. She told Norris she confronted McKain about the sticker, saying it was racist.
McKain told the officer he and his wife were driving home when they noticed a female motorist looking closely at his truck. The couple drove home then pulled into their driveway.
“Mr. McKain said shortly later the same person (Ms. Gragg) pulled up to his residence (blocking his driveway behind his truck.) Mr. McKain said Ms. Gragg began to rant and rave about the sticker on the back of his truck,” the court document states.
McKain told police Gragg shouted numerous profanities at him and his wife.

The McKains have vivid imaginations. Too bad that the Sugarland police have similar imaginations. By the way, why hasn’t anyone gone to jail for murdering J Clifford Baxter, former Enron co-chairman, who was murdered in his Mercedes one week before he was to testify to Congress against Kenny Boy Lay and his friends in the Republican Party?

Iam not familiar with the term “terroristic”, but if it is equated with “terrorist” God help us All … from the world Bush built.

The McKains are just scared cause they know the tables are fixin’ to turn. Us liberals are gonna have to fix the whole place after the rethuglicans finally leave. The haters are becoming the minority in this country and they are terrified to lose what little power they have left.

Just FYI, Baxter was found dead with a bullet in the head in the left turn lane. Evidently, while making a left turn decided to shoot himself instead.
Guess he knew too much.
And these events while Bush is denying knowing Ken Lay, with whom Bush corresponded for years, exchanged gifts, and called “Kenny Boy”.
There are many Bush associates and “heroes of the people” who have had fatal accidents.
The Enron theft should not be overlooked in impeachment hearings, along with torture and malfeasance, aid and comfort to our enemies, violation of the oath of office, the uniform code of military justice, etc.

So are all of you alerting your neighbors to the facts as you know them? Writing to (and for) blogs has a place, but the majority of mind changing will come from peers and friends.
The real battle isn’t just with the GOP. The Democrats are deeply involved as well, or the desired impeachments would already be underway.
The real key to the story is Baxter, who was executed for disloyalty to the corporate power structure of the United States – and if they get their way – the world. That is the enemy, not their lap dog political posers. That is where the attention must focus.

I have tried talking to my neighbor, retired military…..if this is what is protecting this Country, we are in big trouble. There is NO thought process…NONE. There is so many brainwashed people…..brain dead people…..
I have to believe the Dems have been threatened by Bush-Cheney and are afraid to move. I have heard that Conyers wife has been harrassed since he started talking impeachment. We had all better worry about MARTIAL LAW……

I forgot to mention that J Clifford Baxter was murdered in Sugarland Tx in front of his house at 5:00am. I also forgot to mention that Sugarland is in Tom “the exterminator” Delay’s old Congressional District. I also forgot to mention that Tom Delay corruption case still hasn’t come to Court. Again why hasn’t anyone been prosecuted for the murder of former Enron’s Co-Chairman J Clifford Baxter?

Sugarland, Texas? Isn’t that where Tom DeLay is from? This being so, is it any wonder that a person who objects to a bit of public politicial profanity would be called a terrorist? That is, if the profanity were aimed at a Dem?

Sounds like a bunch of racist here that can not stand alittle cartoon or “P” on Obama laugh! At the same time these same people will make racist comments against President Bush or another White person and think its ok for a laugh! Sick!
mpfrazer // July 27, 2008 at 4:50 am |
Ahhh, left-wing drivel.
You’re all throwing Tom DeLay into this without even knowing the facts of the case? Were any of you there? Did you hear this wack-job’s words? Did you know that if the word “kill” is mentioned at any time in a threatening way, it is automatically classified as a terroristic threat?
What about that thing you dems are so adamant about protecting called “freedom of speech”? None of you are coming to the defense of the people who did nothing other than put a bumper sticker on their car professing their political views, but rather you are somehow bringing Enron into this?
You are all essentially doing exactly the same thing you are deriding Republicans for allegedly doing: you are basically saying that a person is free to say whatever they please — as long as it’s in line with your own powers that be.
You’re all crazy. Friggin’ crazy.

When did we start using terms like “terroristic” or “homeland?” I’m waiting for people who casually use these terms to switch over to fatherland anytime now. Terroristic? I am pretty sure we already have laws against threatening to kill someone.
J Snow // July 27, 2008 at 1:36 pm |
To mpfrazer and all you holier than thou creeps,
First, when there is a disagreement between two parties and no outside witnesses, then it is a “He said, she said” situation where neither party has greater credibility under American Common Law. But being it was in Sugarland Texas and in the heart of corrupt, murderous Tom DeLay country, the police willfully chose to ignore the law and self-servingly arrested the person who was against their corrupt, murderous establishment. Of course that type of creepy behavior seems fair to creeps like you. p.s. 20,000 people lost their jobs because of Kenny Boy Lay’s fraud and American investors lost $50 billion, as well. I guess you profited, just like George W Bush and Tom DeLay, from that criminal activity.

Sugarland Texas.
The place where not only Enron witnesses die strangely, but so did the woman who accussed bush of RAPE in Dec of 2002. Margie Schoedinger.
She also had a bullet in her head within 9 months.
Speaking of Tom Delay… Funny he did not turn himself in to the Sugarland police. Just as well, because if he had went to court there a simple search of the Sugarland courthouse records still clearly show georgie being accused of rape.

It’s no wonder that this country is screwed up! People(like liberals) forget that we are a free people. We have the right to place a bumper sticker on our vehicles that can show our disapproval of any canidate for president. Lucky for Ms. Gragg that she didn’t step on the Mckain’s property because I believe in Texas that you can you can shoot someone on your property that is threatining you in any way.

You know what is the funniest thing about this article?
How TYPICAL republicans really are.
They do things like, let’s say… put bumper stickers on their cars showing someone pissing on the name of a US Presidential nominee, and they do it just to provoke a reaction.
Then when they get it, they start crying and revel in playing ‘the victim’.
So typical.
AND funny.
But, I admit the fact republicans let real terrorists get away while screaming for a whhhhaaaaambulance makes it decidedly less amusing than it should be.

I am a Canadian liberal and you Americans are hilarious! Free speech is free speech, I would vote Obama if I lived in your country, but people can stick whatever the hell they want on the back of their pick up truck. I don’t see how that particular sticker as described could be perceived as racist. I think it is completely ridiculous that whatever that woman said to that couple could be called “terroristic”, unless it was something along the lines of “I will blow this whole neighborhood sky high!”. I also think its funny that all of Sugarland Texas = home of all lying corrupt scum bags because of a few people. That sounds pretty prejudiced to me. But what do I know I’m from Canada, we don’t even have guns in our house! Oh America, save us! We’re so scared of terrorists please help! We’re defenseless!!!

Scumbags who lie, steal, cheat and murder are naturally afraid their victims will retaliate. Isn’t that the natural order of things? Don’t you think Hitler was afraid that Jews/Russians/Poles/English/French etc… would be offended and would attempt to retaliate against him for his criminal behavior?

Yes I do think he was afraid of exactly that, but he had a way to deal with it. They were called the SS.
And stop with the hitler comparisons already. Everyone knows what an asshole hitler was, and yet we all also know georgie is no where near as smart as hitler.

China switches to lethal injection
David Stanway in Beijing, The Guardian,
Friday January 4 2008
China’s executioners are planning to increase the use of lethal injections in order to make executions “more humane”, a senior court official told the state media yesterday.
Jiang Xingchang, vice-president of the supreme court, told the China Daily that lethal injections would eventually be used in all intermediate people’s courts, instead of relying on firing squads. Lethal injections have already been used throughout China, particularly in high-profile cases such as the execution of gangsters and corrupt government officials.
Human Rights Watch in China said that there were 1,770 known executions carried out in China in 2005, more than 80% of the worldwide total of 2,148. A parliamentary delegate has said that the figure could be as high as 10,000.
Human rights groups claim China has executed minors, and local governments have been accused of harvesting organs of criminals.
China has made heavy use of the death penalty in a crackdown against separatists and has sought to make the ultimate example of corrupt senior government officials.
Last year, the director of the state food and drug administration, Zheng Xiaoyu, was sentenced to death for “economic crimes”. Many are speculating that the former party boss of Shanghai, Chen Liangyu, now under investigation for embezzling billions from the city’s social security funds, could be the next.

I just read this thread and am truly amazed at how partisan, hateful, mean-spirited Americans have become toward one another. Adult discourse and dialogue has been replaced by name-calling and vitriol. George Bush, except on national defense was IMHO a bad president. He spent us into the ground and kept sending memos about the risks of Freddie and Fannie without DOING anything about them. Barack Obama is on a path to be a much worse president. He has demonstrated amateur, rookie-like behavior in his press conferences and is spending the country into oblivian with a plan that a couple hundred leading economists describe as ‘failed.’ He is a socialist. I have seen Americans go from people that believe in themselves and others to people that expect a Government hand-out for their personal failures. This country is headed in the wrong direction.
Red Stater in Blue Oregon // March 26, 2009 at 12:39 am |
Judy in NM is spot on. With each passing day, it is evident that Obama and the democrats are going to bankrupt America. I am a conservative who was very critical of Bush. He ultimately did not turn out to be a true conservative. When will you Obama-bots accept and admit that Obama is in way over his head and DOES NOT have the answers to our problems. Nor is he very smart. Obama lacks wisdom. As President Ronald Reagan once stated, “Government is not the answer to our problems. Government IS the problem.” And the very losses of freedom you liberals complained about under Bush is only magnified ten-fold under Obama. Where’s your outrage about that?! Seizure of private companies? A treasury secretary who didn’t pay his taxes? A president who only puts Wall Streeters in key positions into his administration? (You screamed bloody murder about Bush and Cheney for their ties to business.) And I could go on. You liberals are two-faced and hypocritical, stating on the one hand that you value personal freedom, then electing politicians who take freedom and liberty away from all of us. Do you really believe you can borrow your way out of debt? Have you ever been successful at that in your personal life? Why do you think elected officials could accomplish this? You libs constantly complained about Bush increasing the national debt over eight years, yet in a mere two months in office, Obama has already tripled that debt and with his 3.2 trillion dollar budget proposal, will increase the national debt further to about 14% of our GDP. He has also failed to provide proper documentation that he is even qualified to hold the office of the presidency. If he has nothing to hide, then why doesn’t he provide the proof? And Obama has reneged on most all his campaign promises. Wake up you ignorant people! You’re being fleeced individually and collectively and for some of you, you’re accepting this fleecing because Obama’s a black man and you voted for him and to suddenly disagree with him would be racist. What shallow-minded sell-outs you are – all of you who helped put this fraud in office. May God have mercy on this nation and I pray that we will be able to merely survive the giggling, narcissistic, empty-suit, teleprompter-dependent, socialist dictator Obama’s term of office, much less thrive. Wake up America before our nation is lost totally and vote out of office the socialists in 2010 and let’s send this imposter Obama back to Chicago in 2012. It’s time to take our nation back!

Zepp // March 26, 2009 at 12:41 pm |
Most of Red Stater’s comments are pure moonshine, but I got a kick out his outrage over “Seizure of private companies?”
The government has been seizing (taking over) banks that failed since 1933. Where that not the case, by 1935, the US would have been quarreling little pisspot states to eventually be gobbled up like chicken McNuggets by either Canada or Mexico.
The government seized the S&Ls in the 1980s (including a Bush bank) and not only prevented an economic collapse then, but actually made a small profit in the end.
If private companies want to be “too big to fail”, then we have every right in the world to step in and protect ourselves when they DO fail from mismanagement and malfeasance.
Red Stater in Blue Oregon // March 26, 2009 at 1:53 pm |
Well, rikkitikkitavi and zepp, you prove yet again how absolutely foolish and out of touch with reality you liberals are. If you are paying attention, there is a transfer of power taking place for the Obama administration to take over other businesses than just the banks, should someone there decide that it’s in the interest of national security. You stupid fools, if you can’t see the truth about the power-grab that’s in progress, then nothing I can say is going to convince you. And zepp, there are legal remedies against crooks in the banking and investment systems if indeed laws have been broken and CEO’s and CFO’s have indeed gone down as a result. So why would you want to centralize power with one or two individuals within the executive branch outside of the legislative or judicial branches to make those determinations? Also zepp, I’ve been absolutely against any of the “bailouts” and “stimulus packages” that have been enacted, whether under Bush or Obama. If you bother to study your constitution, you can see that the founding fathers were very cautious about giving too much power to one person and installed a system of checks and balances. Dare to THINK for yourselves you morons. Bush is no longer president!!! I’m talking about the here and now and you’re still failing to look at Obama and his policies objectively. But then again, you liberals have never been known to be objective or to even know how to be. Now, go back to your bongs and take a few more hits. And rikkitikkitavi, just because you jack off everytime you engage someone in debate doesn’t mean everyone else does you depraved, sick, bastard. After you have some bong hits, you can go back to your sandbox and make sure to stick your head deep into it so that there’s no chance for you to see what’s happening around you. It’s not like you’re seeking reality or anything.
Zepp // March 26, 2009 at 4:44 pm |
When I see a statement like “You stupid fools, if you can’t see the truth about the power-grab that’s in progress, then nothing I can say is going to convince you. ” the first thing I think is that here is someone who needs his medications adjusted. You’ll have to do better than “All you people of earth are stupid” if you want to convince me, or anyone else.
There are legal remedies for bankers who break the law, but that doesn’t address the banks that failed, and that’s where the government, more than once, has saved society from catastrophe and bankers from themselves.
This should never have happened. Do a google for a NY Times article, dated 11/5/99, an interview with Senator Durgan, who warned of the consequences of repealing Glass-Stegal. He nailed it.
Red Stater in Blue Oregon // March 26, 2009 at 5:59 pm |
Hey Zepp,
Who was it that signed into law the repeal of Glass-Steagall? Your hero Clinton. And pushed by your heroes Dodd and Frank. And if ya haven’t gotten it yet, the government helped to CAUSE this problem with the repeal of Glass-Steagall and the advent of the Community Reinvestment Act requiring banks to make loans with little or no documentation to people who could not repay, also revived by your hero Clinton and initially brought into existence under the Carter administration with democratic majorities in the congress both times.
Furthermore, I did not say that everyone on the earth is stupid — just liberals. So don’t put words in my mouth. I’ve done my research and I speak the truth. The Constitution continues to be violated under Obama and he’s going to destroy this nation by sinking it financially if he’s allowed to continue without opposition.
And since you’re recommending google searches, ya might check out two videos. One is the Comptroller General David Walker’s warnings about the economy and the sustainability of this continued reckless spending. The other is entitled “The Obama Deception,” a 1 hour and 51 minute presentation that perhaps will enlighten you. Educate yourself. And if you’re going to debate me, at least spell people’s names properly and know a little bit about what you’re talking about first. The deeper you dig, the more you will see that I am absolutely correct. Did you drink the kool-aid and just can’t bring yourself to criticize this character Obama? I hope you’re not so far gone that you can’t be brought back, Zepp. You at least, unlike our buddy rikkitikkitavi, don’t appear to have an unhealthy preoccupation with masturbation.

Red in Blue, You really should check before you start blaming the villains du jour that Rush has laid before you. The legislation–sponsored by Phil Gramm–was signed by Clinton only because it passed by a veto proof majority and he had no choice. Barney Frank opposed it. Chances are Dodd did, too.
Read and learn, grasshopper:
http://www.nytimes.com/1999/11/05/business/congress-passes-wide-ranging-bill-easing-bank-laws.html?sec=&spon=&pagewanted=1&emc=eta1
Red Stater in Blue Oregon // March 27, 2009 at 8:56 pm |
Zepp, the year was 1993 when Clinton signed this and his own party was the majority in Congress. And, haven’t you gotten it yet that I’m a conservative and realize that there are sell-out Republicans (RINO’s) out there? Phil Gramm is a sell-out and that’s not the first time I’ve said that about him. And Barney Frank and Chris Dodd never disagreed with any bill that towed the Democrat party line, so give me a break. And just for the record, I rarely listen to Rush Limbaugh anymore, but often do agree with his soundbytes when I hear them. But, both parties have sold us out Zepp, and I’m just trying to get you and everyone else out there to realize this. And while there are partisan Republicans out there who will stand by their party no matter what, I’m not one of those. Yet the rabidness with which Obama is supported by those on the left is unbelievable, even when he has built upon policies and procedures that Bush began that the left just screamed bloody murder about. And the number of executive orders this guy signed at the very beginning of his term is reprehensible and should frighten everyone who values liberty. Wake up and see what’s happening, people of America. We’re being sold out to the very rich and powerful who work behind the scenes at orchestrating the downfall of America and indeed desire globalism and Obama is the perfect puppet to enable them to move on to the next phase, all the while violating The Constitution and we’re sitting by idly and letting it happen. Is that what you want? I was under the impression that you libs valued freedom, too.
About Barney Frank. The man’s an absolute disgusting disgrace. It’s been on his watch that FNMA and FHLMC have failed and he resisted efforts by the Bush administration for increased oversight of these two entities. And Barney Frank’s and Obama’s buddy Franklin Raines “retired” in 2004, taking $93 million in compensation with him due to fraudulent bookkeeping. And then Frank blocked further regulation on these two entities while his boyfriend was an executive there in the 1990’s, not to mention the gigantic campaign contributions he received from there as well. His hands are filthy and so are Dodd’s and their actions and/or failure to act when they should have have hurt America. These people are disgusting. Why would you support their actions and personal behavior? Dodd’s a liar with regard to his addendum to the latest “stimulus package” and then claims he never knew that the payout of bonuses to executives would have to be made per contract and has also received over $200,000 in campaign contributions from AIG alone. Yet, you liberals say that it’s only the Republicans who are beholden to big business and corporations. That’s simply not true. Wake up!!! See how these elitists are selling all of us common people out and we could go on all day about most of the people in positions of power and how corrupt they are. Wake up!!! And yet it’s the common people who blindly follow along like sheep and keep reelecting the very people who sell them out because of their lack of involvement in the system. They bury their heads in the sand and don’t want to know the truth. Don’t be one of those people Zepp! Wake up!!!

“Zepp, the year was 1993 when Clinton signed this…”
Sigh.

Zepp,
You obviously don’t want to know the truth, so I’m going to let you flail wildly in your blindness. Perhaps one day you will wake up. Then again, perhaps not. Now, YOU stop wasting everyone’s time with meaningless links, ‘kay?

Ah, it’s fun when inept stalkers from Usenet follow me around and try to play their silly games.
“Meaningless Link”? He claims that the legislation was willingly signed by Clinton in 1993, and that Barney Frank supported it. He is lying. Here’s the “meaningless link” that proves he’s a liar:

Ta ta, little troll. Come back in a new incarnation and try again.
